Collection, use and disclosure of personal information

WSSA obtains personal information when a person fills out and submits a membership application or event registration. WSSA may also receive personally identifying information at any time from members and non-members via other means, such as email, phone calls, greeting cards, etc. Any information collected will only be used for its intended purpose: for example, to give the registrant benefits as a dues paying member of the guild, or to register a member for an event, to answer a question asked or provide help and information to members and non-members alike.

WSSA does its best to ensure that the personal information it has is accurate. Members can check and update personal information such as their name, mailing address and email address by logging in to their membership profile at wssaustin.wildapricot.org.

WSSA Board Members may be involved in processing personal data for the purposes for which WSSA obtained the data. Enrollment in programs such as workshops may require personally identifying information, such as name and email address, to be shared with a relevant third-party, such as a Workshop Instructor.

WSSA limits the personal data we collect from members to that which is necessary for offering the benefits of guild membership. WSSA may maintain some personally identifying information indefinitely as part of the history of the guild’s structure, publications, service, and contributions to the art of weaving in the United States and Texas.
