In the spring of 2023, Selvedge magazine's Textile Tour visited India, focusing on behind-the-scenes experiences for textile enthusiasts. WSSA's At-Large Member, Mickey Stam, will share with us what she came away with from this trip, and what we can learn from the designers, weavers, spinners, and dyers she visited during this month-long textile tour of India. In addition to techniques and inspirations, she will also share apparel construction methods and sustainability efforts that we can bring to our own work.

Mickey Stam recently completed the second level of the Handweavers Guild of America's Certificate of Excellence. She has been weaving and spinning for twenty years. Her book "Innovative Weaving" is available on Amazon. All royalties go to WSSA.
